Sorry I forgot to mention that the floor framing will be 2x10 16" o.c. and my thoughts for the beam are possibly..5 2x12x20 nailed in a consistent pattern with adhesive between and then bolted together with 2 evenly spaced rows of 8" x1/2" carriage bolts 12" o.c.
